December 26th, 2009 – February 6th, 2010
Richard and Liliana Brosi opened the STUDIO 10 art gallery in Chur in April 1975. They ran it with a lot of success and commitment until 2008, hosting 133 exhibitions, numerous talks, panel discussions, concerts, and other events during this time. They made a significant contribution to the cultural life of the City of Chur, the Canton Graubünden, and beyond. It is therefore hardly surprising that Liliana Brosi was awarded the Recognition Prize of the City of Chur in 2004 and of the Canton Graubünden in 2006 in acknowledgement of her charismatic endeavour to bring art to a wider audience in and beyond the region.
In 2008, Liliana and Richard Brosi gave up their permanent gallery rooms in Chur. They decided to expand their sphere of activity in the art world as “nomadic gallery owners“ in the company of their artists, and to rise to the challenge of exhibiting works in forever changing venues and spaces.
Liliana Brosi is not only a gallery owner, but she is also an artist in her own right. Sadly, she passed away earlier this year. The "Winter stories" exhibition features her work and (in alphabetical order) works by Mayo Bucher, Madlaina Demarmels, Seraina Feuerstein, Lilly Keller, Aroldo Marinai, Eva Olgiati, Max Roth, Tino Stefanoni, and Hannes Vogel.
